The Presidents Service Award
What Is It?
The President's Volunteer Service Award is a program that recognizes individuals, families, and groups in the United States for outstanding volunteer service and civic participation over a 12-month period. Recipients at the bronze, silver, and gold levels are honored with a pin, medal/coin, and certificate signed by the President based on reaching thresholds of 100 to 1000+ hours of service. The award was established in 2003 to highlight and encourage ongoing community service and civic engagement by volunteers of all ages who are U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents. Thousands receive the President's Volunteer Service Award each year at local ceremonies held across the country.
